New Improved Ltd is a multi-disciplinary design company, providing architectural, interior, exhibition and production design consultancy and project management to domestic and corporate clients and public institutions.
 

Formed in 2002 from the union of Guy Richards Design Ltd and Bruce Craig Architecture. The equal partners in the company are Guy Richards and Bruce Craig.

Our focus and experience is in Experiential Design.

Experiential Design creates environments that educate, inspire and entertain.

The Experiential Design process explores emotional responses to physical spaces.

The NewImproved business philosophy is to provide innovative and creative solutions to time and budget specifications.

Guy Richards - Director

Guy has 30 years experience in the design industry both in New Zealand and overseas. He specialises in Production Design for theatre, opera, television, film and events, commercial interior design and exhibition design.

Bruce Craig - Director

Bruce holds a Degree in Architecture from Auckland University. He has practiced commercial and domestic architecture for 20 years throughout New Zealand. He is well-versed in computer visualizations, animations and AV design.

Staff

NewImproved currently employs three full-time staff. They each hold degrees from schools of architecture or design. The company also employs part-time administrative and financial personnel.

Partners

So as to meet the full requirements posed by specific projects, NewImproved contracts consultants and specialists from the disciplines of Research, Writing, Lighting Design, Audio Design, Audio Visual Production Direction, Graphic Design and Industrial Design. We also maintain longstanding relationships with Quantity Surveyors, Engineers and Contract Managers so as to provide fully integrated solutions to our clients.

Location

Newimproved is located in a 280m² loft-space in the Britomart precinct of Downtown Auckland. This space enables us to centralise project management and work under one roof and will accommodate the future growth of the company.
